A Squoosh alternative that handles whole batches
Squoosh is a brilliant free tool from Google — perfect for fine-tuning one image. But it works on a single image at a time, so shrinking twenty screenshots means twenty rounds of drag, tweak, download. TinyPresso does the whole pile in one go, right on your Mac.

Built for the everyday pile of images
Most real work isn't one perfect hero image — it's a folder's worth of screenshots for docs, product photos for a shop, or HEIC photos from your iPhone. Select them all, drag them into TinyPresso (or paste with ⌘V), and smaller copies land in your export folder. If a file can't get any smaller, the original is kept.
Results from our tests: a Retina screenshot went from 875 KB to 261 KB (−70%) as PNG, or 94 KB as WebP; a 2.4 MB landscape photo PNG dropped to 676 KB (−72%).
Private, like Squoosh
One thing Squoosh gets right is privacy: it runs in your browser rather than uploading your images. TinyPresso keeps that promise as a native app — images never leave your Mac, and it works with no internet connection at all.
When Squoosh is still the right choice
If you want to hand-tune a single image with a before/after slider and per-format quality settings, or you're on a computer that isn't a Mac, Squoosh is hard to beat — and it's free. TinyPresso is for when you have more than a couple of images and just want them smaller.
